This week, as I said last week, has been very, very busy!! Midterms are coming up and lots is going on! I was involved in a car accident this past weekend (I’m Okay!), so that put me behind a bit- but it’s been great knowing that people understand. Now I’m playing catch up now that I’m off my pain meds and trying to get everything done!!
I’ve been studying for many exams that are coming up, preparing for my USMSC (University System of Maryland Student Council) meeting this Sunday, as well as assisting in the planning of UMBC’s STRIVE! retreat- which will teach students how to be effective leaders. It still amazes me how easy it is to get involved here at UMBC. There are SO MANY opportunities for people of all backgrounds, regardless of your interests to get involved. There are so many student organizations and such a diverse selection of things to do; from greek life to student government to research to internships to you name it!! I feel like I really have been making UMBC mine- and I know for a fact that ANYONE can do it! You just have to take the initiative, get to the student involvement center and get involved with something you enjoy
