Wow! This weekend was an incredibly crazy one! I’ve been very busy lately with so much going on (it’s that time of the semester!) As I said before, I’m an RA in Chesapeake Hall and I’m the Staff Development Coordinator. Part of my job is to plan fun activities for the RA’s to do together. This past weekend, we went canoeing and to Ocean City together. It POURED the entire time we were canoeing!! We went to Pokomoke River Canoe Company in Snow Hill, MD and it was a 5 1/2 mile canoe ride. It stormed so badly that at one point we literally had to get on shore and flip one of our canoes in order to make a fort for us to huddle under (it was very cold!) It also rained so hard that our canoes kept filling up with water! Ah!
Once we got to Ocean City, the weather improved a bit. I jumped in the water, which wasn’t as cold as I expected! In any case, it was a great experience and I definitely bonded a lot with my staff!
This week so far has been insane! Midterms are coming up already and things just keep getting busier and busier! Time goes by so fast! I can’t believe it’s already October!
